March 2010 & 2009 - Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Annual Food and Wine Festival at Baldwin Park

Food & Service Donation of over $3,000

More than 800 people attended the March 7 2009 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Baldwin Park Food & Wine Festival in Orlando. The sold-out event raised $53,000, which will help fund vital research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. The CFF spends nearly 90 cents of every dollar earned on research efforts. The main event of the evening was the great food and fine wines from the gourmet tasting stations set up by local restaurants. The festival featured “Plates of Distinction” awards, which recognized the festival’s best tasting stations in five categories. A blue ribbon panel of judges including moi judged the entries and a People’s Choice Award was determined by an attendee text message voting system.
